Found this boat for sale. My gut tells me stay away from this boat but has anyone ever heard of or used a "stick steer" boat? Seems to me you have a better view of what's ahead of you, i.e., rocks, than from the back. Other than that why would they build a boat like this?
2003 XPRESS 1650 PAN FISH STICK STEER
MERCURY 25HP USED 4-CYCLE OUTBOARD WITH FACTORY WARRANTY TILL 3/15/13
2003 BACK TRACK TRAILER
NEW BOAT AND TRAILER -- OUTFITTED WITH A LOWRANCE X51 DEPTH FINDER AND A MOTORGUIDE F240FB ELECTRIC TROLLING MOTOR. BOAT WILL BE FULLY ASSEMBLED WITH NEW BATTERIES AND WATER TESTED.

Greg has a stick steer.. Great for river so you can see what you hit right before you do.. :P.. I am sure Greg can add to this. I have only driven his boat once and loved it..
Looks like a nice boat.. I would rather see a jet on it as it would be a nice shallow water river boat then. I would just make sure that the 25hp is enough to put that boat in plane with 2 guys and full gear!.. other then that looks like an awesome boat. I wouldn't be scared of the stick steer..Personally i would want that over a conventional console..

That looks like a Chasin tail fishing machine to me!! 😀 And as far as planning it out dont those hydrofoil things for the bottom of the shaft help?. and if not they have those circular prop guards jussst in cast 😛
Great fisherman aren't born... it takes a lifetime of neglecting other things to get that way.
