Hey,

How long would you guys go, in breaking in a new vehicle, before you towed your boat? I take delivery of my new Tacoma tomorrow and wondered how long I should hold off before venturing out on the road with my boat trailing me.

Hey Matt,

Thanks, yes I guess with a truck that is rated to tow 6400 lbs. it wouldn't matter much to tow my boat.

Usually, you shouldn't tow until the brakes have had a chance to seat themselves. I've heard the first 1000 miles. It shouldn't have any effect on the engine.

We may only see what we look for.

Counts on his fingers...I drive 5 miles a day, to and from work = 10 miles a day. 1000/10=100....30 days in a month (roughly)=100/30=3.33 months. Today is July 15...Aug. 15...Sept. 15...Oct 15...+10 days=Oct. 25th. Ok, I've got it. I'll be out fishing again on Oct 25th. Thanks...ALOT!!!!
