Hey Guys
Hope you guys might have some insight into Sonar units. Santa presented me with some cashola, to obtain a new Sonar unit for my boat. I want a 3 1/2" screened unit for the bow, and decided upon these two units. The Lowrance X67C ,and the Eagle FishEasy 320C Sonar. Both units look identical, but the Lowrance is $20.00 more. Does Lowrance make Eagle units? Specs are identical as well. Do you know of anyone that has either of these units or even have one? Any help would be appreciated, as my cash is burning a hole in my pocket!... Thanks

Eagle and Lowrance are pretty much the same company. I think the Lowrance units are supposed to be a bit better, but as you've noticed there are some that look an awful lot alike. Sometimes there are subtle differences like amount of memory for waypoints, but you have to look really close at the specs and most people probably won't notice the difference.

I have a Lowrance LMS332C and really like it. There were some features that weren't available in a similar Eagle unit, so I got the Lowrance.

One other thing I forgot to mention....Eagle/Lowrance has free product emulators that you can run on your computer. They're great for getting a feel for the unit before you buy, and fooling around with data that you saved or setting up waypoint files (if your unit has a card reader).

George,

Chris is right, they're made by the same company. I have an Eagle 320 on my bow and use an LMS 330C at the console. Prior to that I've used their Global Map units and as well the X60 unit which is a similar size to x67C you're looking at. Lowrance/Eagle has been good to me. The new HDS units look sweet!
