Just came back from the googan zoo that is Marsh creek after Memorial Day on a Saturday (big mistake that I knew better of but the wife wanted to go). Trolling motor decided to take a crap at the ramp, prompting a return to home base. Looking to repower. Any thoughts on the minn Kota terrova 80#? I’m happy with a 24v system and not looking to go to 36v. I have humminbird electronics and like the fact the i pilot will sync with them. Not happy to drop that kind of coin, but it is what it is. I currently have a motorguide X3 70# and not looking to go back to motorguide.

Hey Tom ,
I just put a Ultrex on last year 24 v 80 lbs its cable drive to the head then electric from there so Ipilot can be added to it with a remote control . So far so good i really like it . It last all day + with plenty of power , and automation that I dont have to watch it manually all the time as it steers by itself .
Hodges marine has good deals and quick shipping.

So many options....
Sounds like you have the voltage and Mfg. decided, 24V and MK.
Next is cable or electric, as Matt stated the MK Ultrex has best of both worlds.
GPS/I-pilot is a game changer regarding spot lock with you hook up and not having to constantly tend the TM especially in the wind.
Built in transducers for birds (US2 or Mega), I pilot or I pilot link.
Don't forget about the powerdrive if you don't need Mega imaging or I pilot link.
Have fun deciding, only took me 6 months.
Not a cheap date but well worth it IMO.
