I was wondering if anyone has tried to use two trolling motors in tandem to get better speed when trolling the electric-only lakes. I was thinking of using a transom mount motor along with my bow mount motor. Would this increase my speed? I would like to stay with 12v, even though I do have two batteries onboard. Any other suggestions?

Barry,
Trying to put two motors on the back of the boat is not a good idea, as you'll never get both tuned correctly. However, (and here's the good news) you can run a push-pull system, with the back motor locked in place and the front used for steering. You'll get a lot more speed out of this type of a setup than using just one motor.
