• 17 Members present
• 500 Big fish released in Marsh Creek – congratulations to all members who had a hand in this.
• Financial Report – we spent $4,900. on the Muskies. Joe was not present so an official report is forthcoming.
• Muskie School – Price is increased to $175. for one person and $225. for two. Suggestion is that you ask the person(s) being guided if they mind having the guide fish.
o Someone from MI50 has been guiding people that he guided during Muskie School and charging them the Muskie School prices. Members decided that this is unethical behavior and should not be condoned by the club.
o Fall Muskie School for the 2007 season.
• Fundraising
o Cabela’s – they have offered us some days for seminars, no selling. Feb. 3rd & 4th. Tom, Matt and Greg will meet with Phil O’Boyle. 10 members committed to working the seminars.
o Valley Forge – Jan. 18th to the 24th - We are doing this. Matt is in charge. All members will have to donate time and energy to make this a success.
o Hamburg Field House – Feb. 16th to 18th
o eBay – Eric has begun selling items on eBay to benefit
• Posters – Thanks to Sebastian & Todd to producing an official looking poster. We can begin posting these pictures in local tackle stores. Thanks also go to Dan McCann who has offered to help with the printing of these.
• Logo – cafepress.com – we can order t-shirts, calendars, etc. from the website. Greg has a problem with the fact that “the nicest fish on the calendar didn’t get a full page picture”.
• Complaints about the International
o Where does our money go?
o Why is the magazine second rate?
o Why is the cost of the website so high?
• Release Contest – as of January 1, 2007, members have 60 days to send paperwork to Musky Dad. After 60 days, your fish will not count in the contest, though you should still get the fish in for the sake of the info sent to the state.
• Stocking – Commitment of 1 fish per acre at Marsh Creek. Fish will be ordered.
• Musky Survey – take it now.
• Agenda – Barry will post the week after current month’s minutes are posted.
• Raffle raised $145. for our fish

Joe, pass on our congrats to you and your wife! 😀 Then send me your home mailing address, if you would please. (My wife wants it!)
As for the meeting, our president and vice president need to maintain more control over the meetings. It was so raucous! Actually, it was a very good meeting. A lot was discussed and more members were involved in the discussions. I was disappointed again that we did not address the future of Pickerel, Inc!!! ;D Great job everybody. I believe since the summer, this group has been more focused. That's a reflection of past and present leadership. Good foundations lead to strong structures! And if elected.....
And I myself really like Casey's location. It's only 1 hour and 20 minutes home after the meeting! When the alarm is going off at 4:15AM, that makes a big difference! So great job MI50! Keep going forward. I agreed with the comment of remaining an MI member for the association with the name if nothing else. If we keep sending them info on what we are accomplishing, we will get more of their attention and support. Guess I should have said that Wednesday night, between swallows of Murphy's! [&]]
