Meeting Minutes for August 4th, 2004

Officers in attendance: Bob Jones, Chuck Jones, Fred Jones, Archie Roche

1) Chapter 50 membership has grow to 40 members
2) Rod and Lure raffles raised 230.00
3) Treasury reports that with last nights raffle, our bank account total is 2111.00
4) Guide for a Day flyers were distributed for members to give out at their local tackle store. Copy of flyer will be placed in the Library for anyone to distribute
5) Still gathering dates for the Anton’s outing in November
6) Discussed the possibility of heading to Cave Run for a March 2005 outing
7) Reiterated the importance of a CLEAN RELEASE. Fish have been seen dead at Mercer (not to say it is our members, but it is a not-so-friendly reminder of the toll that the heat can play on these fish). Use a net to keep the fish in the water while it is unhooked, then take a quick picture. Have all your tools and camera ready before you make the first cast
8) A guided trip on St Claire has been donated. Greg (River_Muskies) will auction it off on ebay as a chapter fund raiser. Banner for the guide service will be placed on our site
9) It was made known that the big girls on the Big D may all be fish stocked by the PA fisheries department. We have been told by an NJ official that they have only been stocking the river for the last four years. Hats were tipped for PA.
10) Chapter 22 Decals will be purchased by our club to support them. Please let Bob Jones know that you want one because Bob will be placing an order
11) Effort will be made to get our minutes published in the Muskies Inc Magazine
12) Bob Jones says that 'he cannot find' the donated Legend Plough that was to be raffled off.
