Has any thought of or discussion been given to an awards banquet? Last year we had the get together at Bob Jones' house and that was awesome. I don't want to put him on the spot to do that again, but I was asked when ours was. The owner of Ducktail Lures wants to send a couple of lures for our disposal at the banquet. Otherwise I hope everyone survived the snow. I only had 2" of snow here! Have a great one and I'm sure I'll see many of you Saturday at Cabela's!

Hey,
The only reservation I have, for an awards banquet, is that I personally don't want to see this chapter get into the same groove as some of the others where all of the money we raise goes into this kind of thing. Its a great way to recognize those that have done well over the past year and it can be a real motivational tool, but it can also grow into some ungodly monster that costs money that could be better spent on the resource. There, that's my two cents worth. 😀

I think that the type of affair that we had last year is/was perfect as an awards banquet. As I remember, it was relatively simple last year and a lot of fun. It could be even easier, with everyone bringing an appetizer/dish instead of having one person or family responsible. As for a fancyschmancy awards banquet, we'll leave that to the bass guys or Muskie clubs with hundreds of members - they can afford it, we can't. [[%&]]
