Just wanted to give you all an update on our Youth Fishing Day. I contacted Officer Bonney from the PFBC regarding our Youth Fishing Day and was quite enthusiastic about our venture. He referred me to Mike Skurecki who runs a program especially designed for youths . Mike has agreed to assist us with our program, tentatively set for Sun. June 29 at Moyer's Lake in Coopersburg. I say "tentative", because I would like to meet with all who volunteered for this program, and get your thoughts as well. There is a small cost for the kids fishing,( $1.50 per kid ). They have a tent site for rent, which I would be willing to donate, to hold all demonstrations , handouts, and food. Mike will demonstrate various techniques for basic fishing. There are also kids , who work at the lake , who also are willing to volunteer to help out as well .
Where we come in, would be to advertise, seek out groups, organizations, etc. interested, and possibly solicit some "prizes" from local businesses, and assist the kids with whatever needs to be done.
After our Sports Show is over this weekend, I'll try to arrange a meeting for all who are interested. Any thoughts, ideas, etc. are welcomed...

Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

George, you need to contact Walmart. They will donate a fishing box, loaded with rods, reels and tackle boxes, etc. for the kids who attend our first Training Day. Thank you for taking this under your wing and getting it off the ground. I'll help in whatever way I can.
