Hey boys,
Back in town from 7 weeks of hunting abroad. Had an unbelievable fall. Just wanted to remind you guys about the public forum at the hatchery on Dec. 4th at 9:30 am.
Good chance to bring up some ideas you might be having.
Heading out today for 2 weeks of bear and deer hunting in PA hope to see some of you guys there. I know it is the first saturday of PA but some times you have to sacrifice a day or two for a good cause.
Good luck gang.

Fishmaker, Great presentation yesterday - the pictures were proof of the great work you and the facility are doing for the state. Thank you for also letting us take a tour of the facilities (love tank #21). Keep up the great work. Please let us know what we can do to help (contributions - monetary / manual assist). Also is it possible to let us know when you are going to stock some of the central Jersey lakes so we can assist (Mercer and Carnegie)?

First i'd like to thank all of NJ's staff for Having an event like this.To be able to discuss ideas with the people that can make those ideas reality is unbeleivable. Also i'd like to apologize to barry for the delay on a response to his post.{way to much work to be done at home and at the office}It was unfortunate that some of the biologist had to leave before the forum ended. But the truth is, you and i can call them any time and they will be glad to discuss any thoughts we have. One issue brought up by ch 22 was having a closed season in jan and feb to prevent muskie from being kept by ice fishermen. It was a big problem last year and could impact there fishery.Lisa mention they were trying to get the size limit raised to 40" and the wheels are in motion. Also moving forward is the attempt to get Cooper river lake stocked. If this lake gets stocked it will most likely be catch and release only.{NICE}The only other thing i can think of mentioning is the certificate of appreciation that was given to the club for our donation back in the spring.I'll be honest,it took me by suprise, and was an awsome gesture. If anyone has any questions, feel free to call them. You cant find a more helpfull group of people from top to bottom.Again, thank you.Bob

Guys- Did they mention anything about the location of Cooper River Park Lake at the forum? I'm still wondering if I'm thinking of the right place. That's good news that it would be catch and release only.
Thanks for the update on the Rancocas. It sounds like I need to focus my efforts elsewhere. I know there's a big one in there though. The stripers seem to have no problem getting nice and fat on the shad. Hopefully it's not from fingerlings.

It's the same Cooper River park you and I spoke about.... They have a lot of crew events there as well.. ugggghhh - watch out for the buoys..... Here is some info and directions for both NJ and PA.
Location:
Cooper River Park (346.55 acres) runs through Pennsauken, Cherry Hill, Collingswood and Haddon Township. The park is bounded by North and South Park Drives, Route 130 and Grove Street.
From North Jersey:
Take NJ Turnpike South to Exit 4, then take route 73 north pass two traffic lights and take 295 South. Take 34B (Cherry Hill/Route 70 West). Proceed approximately 4 miles to Culthbert Road. Take Cuthbert Road (2nd exit) over Route 70 (heading South) towards the Hilton Hotel. Directly across the street.
From Philadelphia:
Take 676 east to Ben Franklin Bridge. Follow Route 30 East to Route 70. Follow signs for Cuthbert Road. Take Cuthbert Road South towards the Hilton Hotel. Directly across the street. <<<<><<<
Make sure you have Lojack or the Club....
