Bob and Mike-
If we want to put this school together let's talk. I am thinking of this:
let's organize mike from MI 22 and one or two of our guys. We need to come up with a class fee and class schedule so to speak.
i was thinking of having two guys that are always on the water (4-6 days a week) or someone like that that is willing to help out in lieu of free advertising/promotion.
A comprehensive class off the water. We can bring in rods for rod selection, reels, lines etc....
maybe have some proficient guys on lures and how to use them to make fish strike
then some guys that know where to find them and when to find them there. I am not talking about a guy that targets a fish that is found in the same place and he keeps catching him over and over. I am talking about having successful good/great anglers that can find the meat when condiitions warrant a zero catch. A guy that follows weather patterns, bait trends - essentially the whole nine yards. let's give people something for their money. afterall, we are really targeting people that never muskie fished and new members to muskie fishing.
Ray at the sportsmens center is highly qualified to handle an in depth discussion on reels, their gear ratios, leverage etc... and what is in stores for us to look at. probably no one better than ray. i am not kidding here.
This is what I am workling on and why we need to move:
The New Jersey Angler Magazine will grant us an article to promote the two clubs and the program plus the school and what we are trying to gain from it in JUly's issue. Problem is that the deadline is Monday June 7. we would need a date, place, fee etc...for the article.
I am also working on a room from the state parks dept. where video can be played, chalk board is available etc...basically, a classroom setting. Thing is, the state charges 175 bucks to have access to a park or pavilion for special use. I am trying to get some people i know to get us a room at no charge or in lieu of promotion in the artcile and press releases. The date needs to be set so we can reserve a room.
why is this message so long, i tried to find your email and i will have trips each night this week from 4 til 1am.
i have no time to talk this week to discuss. this is a good place
i think i got it all
thanks

Muskies Inc . chapter22 has just completed it's anaul Muskie school at Greenwood lake .
I think we're good for the year , it's tuff enough to get volunteers to do one of these fund raiser never mind two . We all know it's time to get on the water because the hot and heavey muskie action is in full swing .

I know I might sound pompis and a little greedy ,but this time of year I'm going crazy at work and what little time off I have'I would like to get out and enjoy some of this great muskie fishing we have worked so hard to achieve . If you make the clubs all work and no play , you'll find your self all alone . Chris unlike you I don't fish for a living ,I design and sell HVAC systems . Maybe you should put the school off to the fall to allow for better planning . Just my 3 cents

I really like chris's ideas ,we might be able to have a classroom type of school . I don't know about all the equipment giveaway . But it sounds like a great idea , we get some of our local guides and top performers give lessons in there expertise . I'm thinking maybe this fall ,early fall .
