I recived a Email from the state and there are having a meeting the 23/24 of Jan I relize this is short but a strong showing will help our area.
It is great that you wish to support the Musky program in Pennsylvania, especially Eastern Pennsylvania. Your timing for support could not be better, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commissioners may considering changes to muskellunge regulations at their upcoming January 23-24th meeting. If that occurs the Commission will likely seek public comment on any proposed changes and it would be important for all musky anglers to express their opinion. To view the agenda please check the following link prior to the meeting for a detailed meeting agenda (look under the fisheries heading after you open the pdf document):

(Note, as of today the agenda is not yet posted, but will be posted prior to the meeting, please check this link for meeting times and meeting rooms at our Harrisburg facility

My quick glance over did me no justice. This is an open forum for the public to attend. There agenda will most likely contain many things on many species. They will go over changes in the muskie program{changes proposed by our study group}.I think he is suggesting it would be helpfull to us if we had a voice there to agree or applaud the proposed changes.I think he is 100% correct.A Monday and a Tuesday are tough for the working Joe to make.Anyone who has the flexability to attend this would be instrumental in pushing these changes along.Eric,I'd love to see you attend along with anyone else who can get the time off from work. This is one of the efforts that will help change muskie fishing in our region. Thanks to Tom for getting this info and getting it up.Bob

Great stuff Matt. I'm hoping that a few of us will be able to make it out to Harrisburg during the appropriate part of the meeting to give a face to Muskie fishermen for the Commission to consider. I will try to schedule this when we find out the exact date and time. Please consider making this trip if at all possible.

Subject: RE: Muskellunge Program
Gentlemen,
The muskellunge regulation change proposal is posted on the PFBC web site under meeting/agenda's at the link below, schedule details are listed. You, your colleagues, and any member of the public is welcomed to attend and comment.
Remember, the Commission will decide only to move (or not move) the item out for public comment. At a future meeting, after considering all commentary, they will decide on the specific change to be made. So right now they are deciding on whether to consider changes, and if so inviting commentary on what they propose.
If or once commentary is invited, it will be important to express your opinions formally (in a letter to the commission).
Thank you for your consideration of this item. Changes to northern pike and chain pickerel regulations are also slated for consideration.

Hey,
Matt's last post makes it sound like they require written comment. What say we draft a form letter and/or petition and have everyone in the chapter sign it and then forward it to the commission? I, for one, am not going to be able to make the meeting in Harrisburg and would like some way to have my/our thoughts expressed on this matter. Just a thought.
