Hey,
Just a side note; I got a message from International about the availability of St. Croix rods that the company is willing to sell two rods to each chapter for fund raising purposes. I believe the rods, two models, are $60.00 apiece. Greg, I don't know if this should go through you or if I should order them and have them sent to you or Bob. Let me know.
Also, Bob, I still don't have a name and address for where to send the money for the minnows. Let me know on that as well.

I'm not going to be able to make the July meeting. :-[ I have another engagement that night. We'll see what happens in August. As an aside, I've been out on Wallenpaupack twice. But it was night fishing for Stripers, Walleyes and Smallies. Caught one 18" fat Smallie. Lost a few others, don't know what they were. Hope to hit Lower Woods this weekend for an evening bite. Time to throw for the big boys again! Have a great one,

Unfortunately I have a conflict again this month. Summer is bad for me with the kids and sports. A couple of issue/points.
With regards to the symposium, my vote would be to go this year and test the waters. If it is not applicable to us, then we would simply not participate in future years.
3 guys bought Deadhead Jerkbaits from me at the April/May meeting and told me they would bring money at the next meeting. Please pay Bob Jones at this meeting. Remember these are lures from one of our sponsors who needs to get paid.
Have a good meeting.

Hey guys,
Uh, unfortunately, I won't make the meeting tonight. Due to the fact that my truck is on its last leg, I am going tonight to sign the paperwork for my new truck. I was supposed to do it last night but my wife had us obligated to other pursuits.
In so far as the vote on the symposium is concerned, if abscentee ballots are being taken, I believe everyone knows of my position on the matter. Just to give everyone a better idea of where we currently stand financially I will post the current checkbook balance on the MI50 Only section. I'm sorry I won't make it but will conceed to the majority's wishes on this crucial vote.

Seems like meeting attendance is not looking good. This symposium issue should be addressed anyway. Let's get it over with!! If absentee ballots are to be counted, count me as being against for all of the reasons listed on the CON side of the argument, as well as the reasons mentioned in the posts by D.L., Matt and Bob. Let's spend our limited funds where it's going to do OUR FISHERIES the most good!!

I got called out at the last minute and cannot make the meeting. My views are that unless we can raise the money, we do not send anyone to the symposium. I understand that a lot of guys are stepping up with cash and plane tickets. I truly appreciate the efforts. But after reading how many minnows it takes to raise these fish and how expensive they are, I feel that we are doing a better thing for our fishing futures by sending the money to the hatcheries.

We may only see what we look for.

All good stuff guys and thanks for posting your thoughts. We have decided not to spend club money on the symposium. There are a number of guys stepping up with there own cash to send someone. The only issue now is if we go to the symposium,we go to the board meeting, can we send anyone to the board meeting.I think that person or people need to be qualified. We will also conducted votes on the ch 50 only section of this board so make sure you check it on a regular baisis. Thanks again and i'm sure Deiter will have sdomething up in the near future.Bob >:D
