6-6-07 Meeting Minutes by Virtual Dieter Scheel
Beltzville Tournament Recap: Good turnout. After all was paid off, club made a 350.oo profit. Grumpy was a Grumpy dude, but is willing to host the BBQ again. Special recognition to Capt Chad for managing the event.
Fall Tournament: No news yet. Usually the first week in Oct on Hopatcong.
Marsh Creek Outing was set for Sat, Jun 30. If a good turnout is anticipated, we’ll have a Calcutta. Any size musky will count.
Belmont Outing was discussed…Perhaps at the end of July.
Muskie Schools: 10 or 11 so far. A formal request for a Muskie School Manager was put on the table. Anyone with interest, please contact Matt Lysek.
Joe Tarditi has stepped down as the temporary treasurer. Greg Ridge has been appointed new temp treasurer.
Archie Roche will handle the News and Views article for the MI International magazine.
Complementary memberships to some PA state folks will be looked into
Youth Day was discussed….Starting small with our own kids in a Fishing Derby at Marsh Creek.
Fall Stocking: We are still on for our Marsh creek stocking. Also, the yearly fall stocking will most-like happen in September. A more efficient means of getting the word out to volunteers to help with this was discussed. Messageboard should not be the only way as some people only sign in occasionally. An email blast is suggested, as well as members calling others members.
General discussions over stocking options, growing our own and how to improve a holdover fish size, in the event that we can no longer buy fish. A shutdown due to the VHS virus was a concern.
The club has apx 7K in the bank.
July meeting will be at the Lambertville Boathouse. Matt Lysek will be giving lure making and painting instruction, as well as bait tweaking tips.

Arch, a few laughs?! I'd say there were some belly rolls in there!! ;D It was a good meeting in spite of the low turnout. But I actually think more people were involved in the discussion because of it. Hard to say. And thanks for doing such a great job of posting the minutes so quickly. It is something we have become accustomed to. To everyone else, have a great summer on the water, but remember to be safe out there!!! And let's see some posts in the reports section, okay? I said, OKAY!!!? 😉

Per the minutes
Is there still anything going on at Marsh Creek Sat. June 30?
I will be there doing a sunwear seminar and demo at a bass tourney. I'll be fishing solo if any riders want to come along but will only be able to fish until about noon at which time I'll have to begin doing my sunglasses demo for the bass tourney guys.
PM me if interested

Kevin,
Unless I'm mistaken, I believe we are still on for the 30th at Marsh creek. Being that it's an "Outing" and basically if you attend , you attend, no real head counts or plans other than to show up and fish. I think we decided instead of calling this a Tourny , whereby you have paperwork, headcounts, refreshments, etc., we would just call it an "Outing", where it's much more informal. If you want to show up and fish...Great, if not...No biggie.
I hope this answers your question.
Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big
