Here is a E-mail from George White leaser Lake restoration foundation , This could be a near future restoration project for our club.
Hi Matt,
Yes, the pieces of the puzzle are beginning to fall into place! We are currently look at a 4 year time table before the lake if full again, but that gives us lots of time for planning. Right now, were planning on hosting a Lake Restoration Roundtable on December 13th to begin a comprehensive plan to restore to lake's fish and wildlife habitats. Although our plan for this meeting is still in its early stages, I envision representatives from PFBC, DCNR, PA Game Commission, PA DEP, USF&W, Lehigh Co Conservation District, Wildlands Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited, Muskies Inc, Federation of PA Sportsmen’s Clubs, Kutztown University and more! At the first meeting, I would like to brainstorm about what baseline studies can be done by Kutztown University and determine what groups will be responsible for the different components of the Restoration Plan. We can also discuss funding possibilities to cover the restoration.
I think that this is going to be a very exciting project for everyone! We also want to keep the local community as involved as possible in the project. Your suggestions will be VERY appreciated throughout this process. Do you have any suggestions on people / organizations that should be included in the Roundtable discussion?
Thanks for your support, and I look forward to working with you on this project.
Regards,
George

Governor Rendell had a meeting up at Leaser Lake in the past week or so to dedicate 5 million dollars to the restoration of the dam and spillway there. This lake will regain its former glory and we (MI50) should be a part of it. I look forward to going and being a part of the roundtable discussion and will head up or be part of the work group for this project.

This is really great news! I've fished this lake many times and am looking forward to our involvment with this project.
This lake potentially could be a really great fishery with the proper vision. I know I'm already involved with other projects, but I would like to get involved with this. Creating an ideal Musky habitat in my "back yard"...
Need I say more...
George
Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big
