• Treasurers Report - Joe T. was not available, general numbers were given to those in attendance.

• Membership – Seb, Toddo, David Federov, Tom Sabia all need to renew this month. This reminder is a new service of the Meeting Minutes.

• Work Groups – Fundraiser Group, Greg wants everyone in this group to contact him.

• Stocking Recap – we stocked almost 20,000 fish. What is the status of stocking on the Susquehanna.

• Tourney recap – we didn’t catch any fish, though we raised 4 fish – casting is better than trolling!!! (editorial comment)

• Leaser Lake info - lake is drained, now is the time to put habitat in. Lake will be repaired and completed in two years. We should look at stocking this.

• State Speaker at a future meeting - Matt will talk with Leroy Young

• Photo section – new program looks good, with thumbnails

• Future fundraisers – George will check into Lehigh Valley Sportsman’s Show. More work is needed on the Fishing Flea Market. Raffle tickets are a possibility going forward.

• Article for Muskie Mag – Dieter wrote an article and will submit to Matt and Gordon, some disagreement that an article would be good for our club. Article will not be presented as being an MI50 sanctioned article.
• Possible meeting site Washington Crossing/Lambertville – Group decided that Lambertville Boat Club is a good choice – we can use it, Joe T. will bring a case of cold ones to the first meeting held there, and we will get some Pizzas

• FishAmerica.org grant – discussed during the stocking debate, further work needed

• Location for future tourney – Beltzville is our only choice

• Lure Raffle - 5 lures - 3 Grandmas and 2 Bulldawgs raffled off

• Stocking our own Muskies – About 550 Pures available right now at $8. a piece. Fish are 12-14” long. Long discussion regarding whether or not it is feasible to stock the Nock with these fish. Consensus was that we should buy these fish and let the state give us direction on where to stock. Matt will discuss this with Leroy Young first thing Thursday.

• 10 Members Present – Pickerel Pete continues to amaze us with his long distance attendance.

• National club is not in the position to give any money, at all, because the financial situation is so bad. A question came up regarding the expenses – where is the $240,000. that the club raises every year going???? The Magazine may be eliminated, the plaques have been eliminated and we get no real benefits. Do we still want to be associated with Muskies, Inc.??? We need to decide where our club’s future lies. These are not opinions of the group, just questions that the group had. Further research is needed. Can Joe T. study the money aspect?

• Current total membership of our club (MI50) is 63 members, 52 full members and 11 family members.

• The club now has an eBay account that will allow us to sell member’s donated equipment/lures on eBay. We also have a Paypal account.

• The club bought a bunch of Muskie Innovations lures and Grandma lures for our raffles at a large discount. Thank you to both companies for the support!

Ditto DL on the comments. Sorry guys for not making the meeting last night. If were at Lambertville next month I'll be bringing some coldies as well as a 1971 Muskie Decantor to add to the raffle (it's an empty Jim Bean bottle - really sweet). I have another to sell if anyone cares (yeah, I bot too many). I assume 11/01 is the next meeting? <<<<><<<

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

How about the club buys pizza, Joe brings the cold ones, I'll bring a nice Muskie movie (Topwater Terrors or something) and the Projector and we can have good meeting in the comfort of our own clubhouse. Whadaya think?

Nice job on the minutes BigD,
I thought it was a good meeting. We're starting to get the hang of this, even with a small attendance. Thanks for keeping the notes D.

I like the idea of a meeting, cold brews , and some explosive topwater action! Sounds good!!!

Dieter.. Thanks again for the diner suggestion as well as the directions

Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

I wish I could have joined you for dinner afterwards. Would have been better than the Burger King I was eating while driving through 2 different down pours on the way home. Thought I was going to buy it on I-78W when it was so hard I couldn't see the road or the concrete barriers next to me on the left or the semi on the right! But it was a good meeting! And anything to lessen my drive is fine by me. I'll just need directions to this new place! I too, have some musky movies we could view. So maybe in the future...... Good meeting. Glad it was the last one at the Sportsmen. Otherwise it would have been my last one there. It's too long and the next day at work is tough! See you at Casey's!
