Nice meeting location Big D! Thanks for brining the pizzas in.
One idea that floated around last night was if guys can bring their families to the BBQ. I think its a good idea but wanted to hear from everyone. I can come up with a per head cost for those not fishing but attending the BBQ if you guys think it's a good idea. Let me know!

Matt- I think that test out is in Moorestown, NJ not Morristown, NJ. Moorestown is my home town in south Jersey. It's next to Cherry Hill, about 12 miles east of Philadelphia. I heard about this from someone in town. I believe that they are having a 2 night course (tuesday and wednesday) and the test is given at the end of it on Wednesday night for both course and test out people. If I remember correctly it is at a nursing home at the intersections of Church and New Albany roads. I'll look into it and post back here.

I just took the test out less than two weeks ago. They said it is going to run through 2007. Some locations that offer the course also offer the test out only option as well. The one in Moorestown is supposed to be both. You just don't show up for the course and take the test at the end like everyone else. It will still cost $25.00 to just take the test. (It's a State fee)
When I took the test, the 100 hours of boating experience is only enforced by the applicant signing an affidavit in which they swear that they have logged that many hours on the water. -Eric

Still can't find out about the Moorestown location, but I did find this: http://www.njboatingsafety.com/ These guys will come to us and give the test if there is ten or more people. Maybe this could be part of next months meeting!

Ben,
The meeting was at the Lambertville Boat House. For future meetings, give me a call, maybe we could hook up . I think you said you live in Schnecksville, and I live in Bethlehem ( right by the airport)
The Boat House is located , across the bridge into Lambertville. Once across the bridge, turn right into restaurant parking lot. Bear to the left around the side of the hotel/ restaurant. Once around building, bear to the right toward the river. Boathouse is on the right.
Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

It should be noted that there is a bar in Lambertville called the "Boat House" - this is not where the meeting was held. The Lambertville Boat House hosting the meeting is located by driving through the parking lot of the Lambertville Station restaurant and behind the hotel, I believe called "The Inn" The Boat House looks like a little rustic (with character) house on the river.
