· Lehigh River Meeting with State – meeting in Jim Thorpe – large state presence including the Commissioner – the State wants fishing for all people, not just fly fishing for trout. The state will not stock section 8 (north of Kimmett’s lock) with Muskies. Section 9 will get the double portion. A new survey is coming out in the next few weeks that will include questions that may allow us to voice our opinion that Section 8 keep getting food. – Consensus of MI50 members present was that we should try to keep fish where they are now. The Fish Commission is printing up Muskie posters for us to distribute.
· Chapter Challunge – Who’s going – looks like a lot of people on the fence
· Cabela’s – do we want to do something there? Do we want to do something at Eagle Fire Co.
· Charity Event – Moyers Lake? – a lake that we can take our boats on?
· Leroy Young would like to speak at one of our meetings – Perhaps a Saturday morning at Cabela's? Matt will work on this
· Information dissemination – we need to educate! Muskies, Inc. has laminated sheets available that we should buy and pass out to guys we see fishing. Matt will order a selection of literature to be given out at the next meeting – Matt Lysek will work on this!
· Great job on the new website – Thank you Sebastian!
· Membership Czar – we need one for privileged sections of the website – we need to keep on top of who is getting our information – current membership of our club is 60-70 (which includes family) Barry Surkin has volunteered for this.
· Cool Waters Culture Workshop – January 7 – 9 – Walleye, Muskie, Pike rearing, etc.. Chapter 22 is sponsoring this and has for support. Matt will call Three Rivers and Penn-Ohio to see if they are willing to help us sponsor registration and pay for the rooms of all PA fisheries guys. Suggestion was made that we donate $200. towards the cost of the meeting at this time. We may decide to give more, but will have to take a closer look at finances.
· Voting Privileges – a discussion regarding the fact that MI22 only has officers vote on issues in the club. Should we allow members who don’t attend meetings/functions voting privileges. Discussions to continue. Please talk to your fellow members so that we can hash this out at a future meeting.
· Logo will be digitized, Sebastian will get 3 bids and have it done.
