I fished Sunday with Frank and his 11 year old son Noah it was a pleasure to meet them and spend time talking Muskies. Noah loves to fish and was the quickest student to learn casting I have met he was working Sledge like a pro. The conditions were overcast windy and some light rain I was thinking today is the day. We casted all morning and moved around Noah landed a 20"catfish. Then after lunch Frank was retrieving a Bucktail and smash a boatside attack from a 32" Muskie. Frank held the rod as the fish went crazy shaking his head half out of the water. It was a great sight and after a short battle she was in the net and Frank had his first Muskie. The smiles were ear to ear after removing the hooks as we were getting ready for a picture. The fish blew through a hole in the net I couldn't believe my eyes the fish was thick I heard they could do it but seeing is believing. I had a great time and made 2 new friends and hope to meet again. Noah is a fine young angler and I enjoyed fishing with him Frank has plenty of reasons to be proud. Tom
Trip 2
Doug and his 7 year old son Trevor met them at the ramp and the wind was now 20mph gust and no more overcast. I go over things with Trevor and Doug and we start the wind is tough but no match for Trevor. He was allot of fun and he kept me on my toes we did have a follow but we did not hook up with a fish. Trevor casted till the end he loves to fish and it shows. Tom

Hey,
Fred and I took Brian (sorry Brian I forget your last name) out Saturday. We hit about every weather condition possible (with the exception of sleet and snow) including rain, wind, sunshine, calm. Brian was a great guy to fish with; knew his way around with a baitcaster. We fished the area thoroughly, touching on just about every presentation and technique.
When we got there the water temp was 56 and didn't exceed 58 the whole day. Fred hooked into a nice, fat 18" smally but that was about it. Brian got follows from at least 8 smallies but we just couldn't put him on a fish. It was disappointing but we gave it our best with a 12 hour day.
Just want to thank Brian for contributing to the club through the Musky School and am sure he'll soon be posting his successes on the board.

If you Musky guys are going to continue hijacking my pickerel maniacs, I'm going to declare war on your organization! I'll start planting more pickerel in your precious musky lakes and rivers!!! Ha Ha Ha!!! >:D I'm glad there was so much success under such lousy conditions. Congrats to the new musky hunters on their catches! Maybe I should go to one of these schools! I hope to get out this weekend, twice if all goes well. I'm going to concentrate on our tourney lake. Barry! Maybe I'll find where they are. More likely, where they aren't!!!

Hooksets are free!!! Pickerel rule!!!! They're just small muskies anyway!!! Look more like fish sticks, though!!! ;D

It's about a half hour or so to the river. I could launch near Milford. But then I wouldn't know where to go. I'd use all my gas searching for holes. Probably have the same results as going to the lakes! So let me rephrase my statement. I'd know where they weren't biting my lures that day!!! Sound better?!
