I'd like to share an email I rcvd from NJ Dept of Fish and Wildlife list server. The following is a great example of what can be done...

"On April 20, a crew from the DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife's
Hackettstown Hatchery and members of Muskies, Inc. Chapter 22
participated in the first muskellunge stocking of Monksville Reservoir
in Passaic County. A total of 287 muskies averaging 12.1 inches long
were float-stocked in the reservoir.

Manasquan Reservoir in Monmouth County also received a truckload of
muskellunge from the Hackettstown Hatchery. The April delivery of 275
12-inch holdover muskies was the second ever true-strain muskellunge
stocking for Manasquan. "

The more poeple i talk to in the pa fish comm. the more i am told how much float stocking these fish will make huge difference.Float stocking will be a big part of improving our fishery, but not the only thing.Supplying minnows is still being considered. And i am tracking down the person responsible for deciding on hold overs.I have been informed tom, at the pleasent mount hatchery, will be receiving three new round holding tanks for inside holdovers.Something for next year maybe.

The tanks are ordered and paid for.Now if we can get them to hold some fingerlings over,we could give the hold overs minnows before we float them.We just need to be assured they were going to our area lakes.Bob
