1) Tom Long’s weekend outing (Fall Outing) was further discussed and is still on for this weekend
2) Anton’s Outing> Rooms are going so make your resv for the weekend of November 12th. Mention you are with Muskies inc.
3) Cave Run Outing is being planned for the spring. Targeting late March
4) Overview of our chapter’s fish stocking efforts and our future needs in this area were discussed. Lids for 5 gallon buckets are needed. Next goal might be to try and get Mt Pleasant Hatchery to hold over Pures. Also, Mt Pleasant to install circular indoor tanks this winter during their down time.
5) Tom Long’s Picture of his 45 never turned out…there was a debate over whether or not the fish was a fairy tail.
6) Briefly discussed proper nets for musky fishing. Large deep musky nets designed for keeping the fish in the water, while the hooks are removed, must be used.
7) Fall Fishing Tactics- topics included Bait Size, Location, Trolling, Trolling Speed, Drag Settings, Time of Day, and Safety
8) Agreed that a letter should be drafted to officially request that the New Jersey size limit be increased to 40 inches.
