I had the privilege to introduce myself to Tom Perkarski today. As many of you know Tom runs the Pleasant Mount State Fish Hatchery.
Tom has his hands full with trout stocking right now and is very busy, so I appreciated the time he gave me to talk to him. He let me know that we are welcome to help out float stocking when the time comes. Tom said that in about a month the hatchery will be stocking holdover tigers and that some should be put in the South East Reigon. These tigers are about 12 inches right now. Tom will try to give a one week notice to us before they stock.
I hope we can get some boats together to help out with this very important part of the future of muskie fishing in our state. If you have not float stocked before, please consider it. It's a lot of fun and really cool!!! <<<<><<<
