I've had a few hydo maps for a couple of local lakes, Marsh creek, Tuscarora, Beltzville, etc., But other than sharp dropoffs, and points, wondered what I should be lookng for , for Musky locations ? Road beds, underwater streams beds, etc., why are they significant? What are your thoughts?

Look for points (especially as they relate drop offs, flats, etc), look for road beds and mid lake humps, and look for flats next to drop offs. Concentrate on those areas and you should see bait schools relating to them. If you find the bait, the Muskies won't be far away.

why are road beds good for baitfish ? It makes a lot of sense for Humps and points, but "road beds" ???

Look at a typical road for your answer. They are usually raised above the surrounding area with drainage ditches on either side or, they are slightly below the surrounding grade, with drainage on either side. Either way, they represent structure and structure is the key to it all. We know that fish will actually relate to a single rock that rises only 2" above the surrounding area so imagine what a road that raises 2' above the lake bed will do.
