Greg- Is there a flyer being worked on for this? I work very closely with three cabinet manufactuing facilities located between New Holland and Thompsontown PA. Together they employ over 500 people. I have talked to many of them about muskie fishing. I'm sure I could get quite a few of them to attend just by a phone call, but I'd like to be able to send them something to post in there shops and offices.
I encourage everyone to try and do the same. Fax it, e-mail it, whatever. We need to get the word out to as many people as possible- especially those that live close by. Remember it's cabin fever season and all we have to do is get these people off the coutch! -Eric

Eric,
Based on the meeting at Cabela's, I thought that the advertising for the seminar would be limited to message boards and Cabelas mailers/promotion. If someone wants to make fliers thats great and I will certainly help but with my work and home schedule I will not be able to focus on this right now.
As one of the presenters, I need to get ready for that also.

Is this the write up your talking about? : Tony Grant to speak at MI Chapter 50 muskie seminar 2/18/06
The Penn-Jersey chapter of Muskies Inc. (Chapter 50) is hosting a muskie fishing seminar at the Cabelas superstore in Hamburg Pa on Feb 18 2006. The club will be giving 3 seminars throughout the day, the highlight being a presentation by well-known muskie guide and seminar speaker Tony Grant. In addition to the seminars, club members will be available to discuss everything from local waters to release tactics. There will be raffles for prizes such as guide trips, release cradles, rods and reels and tackle packages.
The 3 seminars scheduled to be given include:
10:00 Muskies 101
1:00 Targeting trophy tiger muskies (Tony Grant)
3:00 Fishing for river muskies during the coldwater period
The primary goal of Chapter 50 is to improve the muskie fishery is southeastern Pa and NJ. We are working with both states fish commissions to enhance the stocking programs and management policies. We are also trying to educate the general public about these fantastic fish.
If you have any questions regarding this seminar or would like any additional information, please feel free to contact us Mi50.com
I can make a quick flyer and post it so everyone can print and hand out. Give me till tonight... I will also update the website to reflect this info too

Hey Seb,
Great job on the seminar flier. I found three typo's and one punctuation error. A) There will be raffles for prizes such as (guided) trips , (cradle nets)...... B) The primary goal of Chapter 50 is to improve the Muskie fishery (in) S.E. Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. C) We are working with both (states') commissions.....
Again, thanks for all the hard work putting these things together.

We did indeed. ;D
My wife and also my boss often say that I could sell ice to an Eskimo. I've already gotten a commitment from a couple of local bait shops to allow our posters.
I've even gotten a request from a local bait shop that we give a Muskies 101 seminar at their location! How's that for salesmanship!
Seriously, I will be taking posters to all of the local bait shops including Tanner's, Dave's, Nock Sport and Bait, Muellers and a number of others. I've spent quite a few dollars in all of those establishments and I believe that most, if not all, will allow one of our posters.

Gentlemen, I went to the cabelas website and clicked on the Hamburg store to see their calendar. It lists our muskie seminars on the 18th. What surprised me was that it listed 2 more seminars each on the 25th and 26th. Are we doing these also? If not us then who?
Barry
We may only see what we look for.

Grim,
If you are talking about Gordon's in Eagle, I already have a post on their message board. I also sent the owner an email asking for permission to bring in some flyer's but never received a response. Maybe you will have better luck, but i figured asking first would be nice since it has a Cabelas logo on it.

Yeah, I saw your post Seb. I'll stop by this week and talk with Ken. He's been good to us before, allowing us to hang the Guide for a Day flyers.
Not sure if this would be different, since we're asking people to visit a superstore.
Maybe, I'll start by asking about the the "Guide" flyers ....
thanks,
Steve
