In light of the recent storms we will postpone the Fall Chapter Challenge until the spring or fall of 2012. It is our sincere hope that you and your families are safe... things can be replaced.
I have asked the members of MI 22 to volunteer to help MI 50 with fall stocking. If you'd like or need our help I have some MI 22 members who are willing to help. You need only let us know when and where you'll need us.
PA is my home state... NJ is adopted... both areas have been hurt badly by the floods. Here's to a speedy recovery and future days of "tooties" boat side.
Respectfully, Cal Huntzinger

Cal,
It has been a rather disasterous period for both man and fish alike this fall. Hopefully, through working together, the stocking efforts made now will pay big dividends in the coming years for all of us.
I, for one, thank you guys for your offer to help and hopefully we can repay the favor in coming years. Here's to hoping that the musky fishery in both states will continue to improve.

MI 50 continues to do great things to improve our "eastern" fishery. We are partners in this... now and in the years to come. It is my hope that all of our members never lose sight of that one simple fact. I owe all those who went before me. We all do. With out their hard work and dedication I wouldn't be enjoying so many hours on the water chasing the fish that my grandfather dreamed of catching. I have shared this with my children and soon my grandchildren. We are doing great things in both chapters and are building something for generations to come. There is something good about being on the water... that is what binds us together. My grandmother stated to me the following... "the time a man spends on the water is not deducted from his life, it adds to it." I think she was right.
Please keep us posted and we will do what we can. Don't hesitate to post on our board if you need help.
I will also keep you posted on the Hackettstown Hatchery. 2012 is the 100th Anniversary... there is talk of events at the hatchery to celebrate the century mark. Don't forget the Spring Open House at the Pequest Hatchery late March early April date TBA.
Just as a reminder..... the Mt. Lake ramp is closed for the season!!!!!!!
Let's see some fish caught going into the fall.
Regards, Cal Huntzinger MI 22 Chapter President
