Damn nice fish. After an hours battle on 10lb test, that old fish very likely wouldn't have revived anyway. Probably the fish of a lifetime for this guy - and a heck of a way for an old girl to go down in battle.

Hey, an hour long fight might be a bit of a stretch.... 😉
I actually caught my first musky on 10 lb. mono and netted it by myself...not knowing what the heck I was doing. No 40 pounder, but it was mid 40 inch range. For me, it just took one and just decided that musky fishin is pretty dam awesome! Maybe this guy will turn to the dark side [[0] and become a musky fisherman. That is a BIG freakin fish!
