Hey,
Well Tom, here's what I've been doing, see if it works for you. Go to Cabelas website, buy a rod building kit, set it on a shelf for a year and a half and then break it out in the dead of the winter and get started. Make sure, as I have, to take the time to think over exactly how you want it to look and feel. Then after a year and nine months, just dig in. Get the eyes almost in a row, as I have, take multi-colored threads and add all the gawdy "bling" as you want....as I have. Make sure you don't have friends that call you in the middle of your "bling" work, as I have!!!
Before you know it, two years will have passed and you won't have minded the winters in between!!!!

I don't think my wife would quite understand why I'm locked in the bathroom sharpening my tallywhacker! Or smoothing out my Bull Dawg. Or working with Molly. Or fluffing my boo tail.
And I'm sure she will never forgive me for spending time there with Grandma! [[^]

We may only see what we look for.
