Recently I received ( as I'm sure many of you have) a notice from MI22 for a year end party. I think that's a great idea for our own Chapter. It seems most of us , only get together once a month, but when we do, it's pretty crazy. What about a "year end / holiday" party? It would be a nice opportunity to meet other members as well as family. What are your thoughts? [&]]

That sounds good to me. A location like Deiter's hall would probably be good. It could be a potluck BYO kind of deal. And if we open it to family members, could be nice to meet the patient wives who let us spend so much time on the water, or not! I, myself, would keep this an adult fare. Do we want to put together a committee for this?!?! >:D Think about it gentlemen. Time draws nigh!

Well it's not really a hall.... more of a clubhouse/boathouse.
That being said, a lot of groups (Boy Scouts, Garden Clubs, etc.) use it and it does have refrigerators and stoves. The only drawback is that it'll only hold about 30 people or so. If we want to have a holiday party, it can be at my house, which can and has comfortably handled 50 or more. This will have to be a pot luck, because I'm not cooking! Let me know how you folks want to handle it.

We really don't need a committee. This is something that can be discussed here and at our monthly meeting. Especially if we accept Deither's generous offer of his house. And as I said, a pot luck is a great way to go. It's just a matter of people volunteering to fill the menu. And a weekend probably works best for everybody!
