Great video but I hope the fish survived. Long fight and the fish was not handled well afterwards.
Very cool seeing the big tiger through very clear ice.

Hey,
That is a neat video with the ice being that clear and seeing the fish so clearly.
Does anyone have a source for good bait? I've been looking and the best I've been able to find are so called "pike" minnows, which are basically 3 to 4 inch shiners. There has got to be someone who sells good 6 to 9 inch suckers. Any information would be appreciated.

Hope they ate that thing! ;D 8 to 10'' is great car havein fun ice! 😉 salt water ice is the most fun, you can see the waves movein through it. when walkin on it, its like walkin on a pool cover. im talkin barnegat bay. Only in the begining before it turns solid, very weird, but fun. also not very deep where we would try it. Back before that warming BS!!! 😛

Barry,
I personally don't live bait fish for muskies, but as a club we don't frown apon it unless it is done incorrectly. Live bait fishing when done correctly with a quick strike rig is very effective in some situations.. also when done correctly it can do less damage them catching a fish with three treble baits.

Barry,
It's ironic that you bring this up ( live bait fishing) now. Don't know if you saw or not, but we as a club will be writing a more "muskie friendly" version of live bait fishing for the State. If you would like to help in putting this together or have any suggestions, they would be welcomed.
On a side note, that was pretty awesome seeing that Tiger thru the ice! Unbelievable! And what about that goober with the pole... :'(
Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big
