Hey guys/girls,
Just picked up a couple big muskie baits recently, and was wondering if you could help me with a few questions I have with them.

The first is the 10"Hellhound. What type of rod would be best to throw that, and if you would know, how fast will it drop?

The second is a 10" Believer. Attached on the "deep" setting, how deep will this bait troll?

Thanks

Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

Nice, Not sure about the hound but ive thrown that believer alot and it works good atleast for me. They say they troll better, but i only tried it running down the shore till it got hung up on stumps!! ha ha i like the smaller believers, jointed! soft tail. Good luck wit them George!!

George,

It all depends on the amount of line you have out. Assuming 100# braid as your main line at 4 mph, here's what I go by:

11 feet of line 4 feet of depth
32 feet of line 10 feet of depth
49 feet of line 14 feet of depth

You should be able to get a straight bodied believer down to 20 feet of depth but you'll need about 87 feet of line out.

20 - 22 ft. sounds about right for trolling the beleiver on a long line.

Hey Piney,, Did the voices tell you what team you'll be on this year, OR how to balance the Fed Budget, OR who killed JFK, OR is there really a Santa Clause.....hahahahaha!!

Hey George, heres something to think about. If you troll it st clair style, shallow setting with weight in front,You can still get the depth and get the shallow setting action[i beleive shallow setting creats a wider wobble]. ??? ??? :-

My pleasure. Always like to support a great cause where people are taking the initiative to better the future of the fisheries..

This bait I call the Boo Dadley XXXL. It's 20 inches long and they have no problem taking it down..
