I was at the local NM tackle shop and they had a bunch of these new lures from Daiwa.  I don't know if any of you have seen it yet, but it is an interesting concept.  It is a topwater with a crankbait lip on the side of the lure, so it flails on its side.

I'm sold. Who's placing the order for the club?

The guy at the shop was telling me that they are really hard to find (he was getting orders from people in Denver - 450 miles away), but it looks like a few are on ebay for around $30-$45.  I'm sure some of the better shops in the Eastern PA/NJ area have them.

Topwaters are not just a warm water lure. They can be fished from ice out to ice up with success. It's still a matter of fish + lure + presentation. So good luck with this. It sounds like an interesting concept!
