I only have 3 dawgs and one got a little butchered yesterday. Melted it up a little with some matches after the release but need to pick up 2 or 3 more. Anyone ever use the "economy dawgs"? The "no eyes" doesn't bother me but the "no clear coat" may equate to the plastic getting shredded up pretty quickly from hooks if not fish.
Let me know if there are any users out there who can comment on these.
Thanks

I like the economy dawgs. They do get chewed up easily though. If a dawg can be melted back to anywhere close to it's original form, it will still catch muskies. Maybe it's just me, but I stop using a dawg when the nubs (or flaps) on the sides wear off. One nice thing about the economy dawgs is the through wire which allows them to be tuned.

Love the Eco dogs. Like TIM said keep old ones as "doner" dogs. I personally use grubs of similar colors because all my dogs are still used, some mended over and over. I have a dog from Roth that has caught 10 or more fish between the both of us. Out on the boat u need a small propane torch or just a normal lighter if you can get out of the wind. I prefer the lighter when possible, seems to get a better flow of the plastic. ANY dog can be fixed.
