New bait being introduced at Sat meeting

Ricky and I have designed a new bait. Well he came up with the design and I came up with the sideways paintjob idea, so really Ricky designed it... There is nothing else out there like it, that I am aware of.. We call it the "Crazy Eddy". Hard to explain the action but closest thing to it, might be a reef hawg. It is very erratic, best worked with pull action rather then a jerk. Bait will run side/up/down/side...etc.. has to be seen in water.

We will have 4 of them to sell at the meeting for $40/piece.. Can email me if interested or talk to me at the meeting, but we only have 4 right now. (2 with my perch pattern, 2 with Rickys perch pattern. Ricky's perch is very similiar to mine, but a little darker)

Also Ricky will be donating a custom made crank to the raffle.

Oh and I will be selling these shortly on my website along with the S3...probably in the next month or two. Here is a picture of three right after painting them, they still need to be cleared and have the masking tape removed, but picture should give an idea of what they look like.

Thanks,
Sebastian

I have seen these in action, and they are amazing. Runs awesome and erratically.

I have that same bait! It's not the sideways paint but it looks identical. I forget what it's called.

We may only see what we look for.

Barry,

I would love to see a picture of it.. I would consider myself pretty knowledgable with baits and have never seen one like it..in fact a couple of people own one (including Greg) who I would consider one of the bait experts in the club and he also has never seen a bait like it... Please post a pic..

Those baits sitting in that box look like some live perch getting ready to be thrown on the frying pan, I'm thinking of reaching my hand in there and grab another one to fillet up. Great paint job and awesome looking baits! [&]]

Well. it looks a little different. It's rounder and doesn't have a pointy nose. But otherwise similar. I'll bring it tomorrow.

We may only see what we look for.

I pulled it out of my box to look at it. It's round in the body, not flat like yours. The nose is round as well. What sparked my memory is the cut out on the underside and the metal tail. It's very simliar to a Suick and my bait is a knock off of that, but round.
I know it's a readily available bait and someone will see it and say Oh yeah that's a .....

Well yes this bait does have a cut in the front similiar to a suick, but other then that it is diferent. Plus it has a lexan tail, not metal and it every thin..not round

Forgive my ignorance, but how do you bend lexan?

With a lexan bender 😉 One major difference between lexan (Polycarbonates) and plexiglass is lexan (Polycarbonates) will bend and not break, plexi will break when bent...

Lexan is the toughest plastic known to man, that's what bullet proof glass is made of. It keeps it's shape! I don't understand either, how do you bend lexan to your liking and make it stay.....cool baits man. 8)

T Musky, if you search around the Internet you can find articles on how to bend Polycarbonate. One article I read said you can heat up cooking oil or water to a certain temp and submerge the former/bender and poly in the oil or water, the heat softens the poly and then it can be bent. There is a little more involved but this is the short answer. I am not saying this is the only way, just one way it can be done.

Seems like a hard way to make an adjustment to your bait in the boat. I guess the lexan tail is not "field" adjustable like the suick.

Lexan is not hard to bend, guys!! Come on...you are making this way to difficult. Everyone who is fishing for Muskies should have a good pair of long nose plyers on your boat...grab the lexan and bend....waaaalaaaahhhh...its a miracle!...

Thanks Art,

The float but come up rather slowly. I will be taking video in the next few days and will post it on here and youtube... Only problem you would have is that they are not aloud to be fished on pansy...uhhh, I mean spinning gear!.... {&}

Nah, depends might help a little, but trying to teach you how to cast all day is what took all my time away ;D

Yea you did get big fish, and it was a biggun for sure.. but hey even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in while!... 😛

I will try and film them tomorrow and get a video up soon (I have been in bed for 3 days with a viral infection, so I am trying to catch up).. We actually sold out my first batch of 4 but more to come..let me know if you really want one and I will paint it whatever pattern you want..

Thanks,
Sebastian

I got to test my Crazy Eddie. Approriate name. Crazy action. Part glider, part dive and rise. Full of action. Have to fish it slow but it gets down and and moves all over the place. Plus the bait design and the sideways paint job is unique and gives the fish a broadside perspective from below.
