FYI, if you get a chance, go out and buy a copy of "The Fisherman" magazine for April 20, 2006. There is a nice 4 page article that highlights muskie fisking in NJ (MI22 got great press on this article).

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Hey Joe,

Thanks for the heads up on that article. My question is, why don't we ever get any press coverage? Where's our Secretary at? Let's start pumping out some self-aggrandizing articles about all the good work we're doing!!! [[%&]]

The author's name is Lou Martinez - we can contact him - since its a weekly publication and perhaps when they hit another "muskie" related article we can get some voice. They barely mention the Big D and Mercer, and primary focus on the Big 3 - Monksville, Greenwood and Hoptacong (the magazine -- is NJ / Delaware Bay edition). Unfortunately Dave - I wish MI22 when interviewed for the article would have mentioned us -- since they've been around for almost 20 years... maybe next time.

Yeah I was happy to see that article when I got it in the mail. As far as advertising ourselves, at the very least that magazine has a section for Upcoming Meetings. Maybe we could get new customers that way!

I think Bob is right. I think this article was started in 2004 and then updated.... in a side box it mentions that one of their newest members caught and released a 56" fish -- If that was Mike Thompson's that fish was caught in Oct 04... I know if someone caught something that large we would have heard... It does mention Cooper River stocking though... Anyone - always good to get a nice read.
