Hey all, I know this chapter has had and is having a tourn. around my area, I was just wondering how you all made out in the Belmont, Upper Woods, and prompton. Has the tourn. been a good turn out for catching fish? I have fished all three several times other than Prompton that was once in an ice fishing tourn. Upper woods was a couple times for Large mouth Tourn, and Belmont I have fished a little more. Never for Musky though. I have heard that they put in some Northerns in Belmont and some were caught a few years ago, but I never heard of it as being a good Musky place, although I have never asked about it either.

Our tournament on those 3 lakes was a disaster! 30-40mph winds and rain...

We'll be having a Chapter Outing in July at those "Big 3" lakes. Hope we can hook up with you then... I believe the date is maybe like July 12 or 13th. Check our calendar for exact date.
See you then...
Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

These are the 3 lakes I primarily <<<<><<< fish in this area. I live outside of Scranton, how bout you? Anyway, I've never caught a <<<<><<< in any of these lakes, but I have seen them in Lower Woods and Belmont! Thought I was actually going to score last year when I started having boat, actually battery, problems. Killed the whole summer into fall for me. That and the Army having us work mandatory overtime! Back to the fish, I haven't heard anything about northerns being stocked, but I wish they would. I'd prefer to see it in Prompton myself, as this is a bigger lake than the other two. I'm really hoping to be on the water as close to ice out as possible. If you live inthis region, maybe we can hook up and hit these lakes. I prefer to fish with somebody as opposed to being by myself.
And yes, our tourney really had bad weather the day it was held. It had been beautiful prior to it when a stormy cold front hit the night before and the temps dropped into the 40's and 50's with winds the day of! Afterwards, it was nice again! That's life. We still had a really great turn out and the gathering at the Little Red Schoolhouse afterwards was a lot of fun. Hopefully, when we do this again, the weather will be a little warmer! Good fishing and have a great one!

Well I finally got a chance to talk to the guys father that suposedly caught the Northern out of Belmont, He told me that they were actually walleye, and that totally put a spin on the story all together. I am definitely going to put some time into Belmont, and ofcourse I will be using the almight Super Spook as much as possible during moring and dusk hours. And Ed, maybe sometime in the summer months we will hook up, if you want, I normally do alot of run and gun fishing on the susquehanna river basically covering as much area as in can in a few hours locating the toothy monsters and then I set the next day or week as a concentrated fish for whatever I missed or seen. For some reason they really like to be seen around here, the biting your lure is another story.
