Deleware River

Does anyone fish the Deleware for these behemoths, and if so would like to share info on where and how to go after them?
I fish the river mainly around the Trenton,Bordentown area usually for strippers and catfish, but this summer i have been hooking into many strippers, smallmouths, walleyes, and even a small tiger musky(which got my blood flowin!) that was about 16-18 inches.
I am new to muskie fishing, and only know a little from what i've read so far about them.I know they are in the river but not sure where would prime locations be.
Do most get caught while trolling or casting?
Any info would help.

I would advise going a little more north- say at least to the Easton area. If I am correct, Tigers are stocked at Easton and below while pures are north of Easton. Generally speaking I would say that there are more fish the further north you go. I live well south of Trenton and generally drive at least an hour and a half to fish muskies in the Delaware.

I'm not surprised to hear you say you caught a small tiger as far south as Trenton with last fall and this springs floods. I hooked into a mid-thirty inch fish near Washington's Crossing a few months ago while bass fishing. It hit a 2.5" smoke tube- light rod, 6 lb test= no fish. Good luck- Eric

I have to agree with Eric. The more north you travel, the better your chances. My understanding (speaking with JBK) was that PA used to stock the lower Delaware with Tigers but had limited catch rates (JBK also said they were stocking the fish during the striper run - ???). Big D. may be able to recommend some areas between Lambertivlle and Frenchtown (that's his zone). Best of luck.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Not to offend anyone, but I would like to know where I can fish for some of those strippers!
Do you use $1 bills for bait?
