I wanted to know how many people actually pay attention to the moon phases when they decide to go out Musky fishing. Do they play a big role when you fish? Being a retired Bass fishermen, moon phases definitely played a roll, just wondering about musky and your thoughts.

We plan almost all of our St Lawarence trips around a full moon and a new moon phase. When sunset and moon rise are within a couple of minutes........ O BABY! It definitly makes a difference. Here's a few..

I think good weather trumps a good moon phase. But there's no denying a full or new moon does something to the big muskies and they become more active.

There is definitely something to moon phases, but like Tim said, anytime you can get out, is a good time. With that being said, I've caught two of my biggest muskies during a full moon phase. Both of these skis were caught then.

Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big
