What size lures are you catching muskie on in your area?I've spent alot on larger lures but nothing seems interested.I would be interested in hearing what size of lures are catching muskie anywhere on the susquehanna! I'm starting to think smaller in my presentations and gear.Any info in a dirrection on lure choices would be appreiciated. Whats working for the susquehanna musky fisherman on this board?I'm not looking to move in on any ones fishing area just would like to know what works within certain conditions on the water. What would you use for shallow boulder areas , deeper parts around feeder streams , shallow weedy areas?Let me know where it is you fish and your choices of lures so I can apply to my area with an understanding of what conditions you fish. Thanks in advance !!!!!!

I like a Rapala J-13 in Perch pattern it floats and if you get it hung up alot of the time the current will work it free, the bills are made cheaper than they use to be. This is my favorite lure in the Susquehanna, I have tried alot of different lures and keep comming back to the J-13 especially after the guy I fish with uses this lure and this lure only and catches fish. I buy mine at Bass Pro Shop and if the bill fails they will exchange it no question. Pike is another good pattern as is Firetiger which I use before sunrise and after dark or if the water is dirty. I seen that this lure was a fish getter in the PMTT this year. I do put a #7 Bucher split ring on the front makes life easier.
Hope this helps....and make sure to release em ! Bob S.
