I was on the Delaware River this weekend and about 20 yards from me a very large musky slowly came up out of the water until he was half way out, then he proceeded to launch his entire body out of the water. (At first I thought it was a carp coming out until I saw the whole fish) This fish was all of 4 feet long and extremly fat. The concusion of the fish falling back in the water echoed down the river. I know a hooked musky jumps very well, but is it common for them to free jump on their own ? Was this fish attacking bait ?
