I read this quote about 15 years ago.. I laughed at it at first but it really changed the way I fished, once it sunk in.
Fish for fish, how a FISH would fish, if a FISH were fishing for fish, not how FISHERMAN fish for fish...
If you really think about it, all if the best lures/tactics were developed by people who thought this way.
Doesnt mean you need to invent a lure/ etc. It just means that a fishery is really an open canvas. You can either copy someone elses painting, or paint your own.
simple things like getting to know some fisherman who fish for the quarry of the predator that you fish for can be incredibly productive time spent if you understand what the forage In the area does year round, as you are trying to locate what is eating them. at least for me it's a little too much to spend my time actually fishing for them, but knowing someone who does and their success and failure almost doubles your hours with less time. thinking outSide the box can lead to great success i think, as many before us have shown.. ;D 😀
