I use flouro all the time. Usually 100#. It works great for steady retrieves, but hangs up occasionally on gliders. Check it often for nicks and replace when needed.
You shouldn't have many problems.

I used 80# flouro for a while, as Barry said, keep checking it for nicks but otherwise it works fine. Now, I'm using 130# flouro and have much more confidence in it. Flouro is a good all around leader.

I want to start using single strand wire for glide baits, that seems to be the way to go for gliders.

Wire is a must have for any serious glide bait. The flouro does not "get out of the way" of the glide bait and you'll find yourself hooking your leader often with a bait that has good side to side motion.

I've crimped my own 80# flouro leaders for a couple of years and have never had a crimp or the flouro itself fail, even after repeated hookups. There are a number of other club members who've used my leaders (and their own crimped leaders) and had the same results. The important thing is to check your leader often.

Also, make sure that you check your snaps after every snag. There's a damn fine Trueglide laying in 5' of nearby Muskie water because I didn't...
