Here is a great article on figure eights by Jason Smith
One has to be disciplined to always do one at the end of every cast. I have gotten fish on the eight and friends have gotten fish in the eight that they never saw follow. Practice makes perfect and plan them out for each lure. Each lure comes to the boat differently and requires a different approach.

Hey Kevin,

Good article. It certainly has given me new insight as to how to work three different kinds of lures at the boat. Thanks for posting it.

Me too didn't realize we were supposed turn the lures like Nascar in the corners.... Good stuff, thanks. {0}}

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Speeding up on the turn and depth change is what changed my last follow into a fish. 2 weeks later I had a fish ready and made my turn to thin and the fish got confused and lost intrest . This time of year 8 on every retrive great article. Tom

No problem guys. I also starting putting glow beads before my leader to help tell when to start the figure eight in dark water or at night. You can get them at Cabelas or order from most tackle suppliers Janns Netcraft is real goo too.
