Hi
New to the board but have been chasing Muskies for a long time . My son and I try to make a couple trips a year to Canada to fish the Kawarthas or the Upper French . If I can be of help to anyone on either place let me know . The reason I joined I'm retired now and want to get my grandson into Muskie fishing a week in Canada fishing early to dark would be to much for him . Can anyone help with some info on Marsh Creek . Which launch is the best , does it get real rough if there is alot of wind . I live about a hour away in Lancaster . I also heard they have some nice Bass there so that will help teaching my grandson and break up the day . Thanks for the help .

Hey Hank,
Welcome to the board and thanks for the intro! I'd love to pick your brain on the Upper French. I'm heading there next month to fish it along with the Georgian Bay. Really looking forward to the trip.
Regarding Marsh Creek, both launches are good to use but most of use the Lyndell ramp as you don't have to worry about the park gate not being open. Marsh Creek is a great fishery thanks to the stocking efforts of our club. The bass population is also thriving so you'll have plenty of opportunities to switch it up with your grandson.
With the high water temps, I haven't fished this lake since June so I'll let other chime in on any recent temp reports. Best of luck and hope to see you soon at a future meeting!
