Does it make any sense to hit the water this weekend, given the weather we've had and the likelihood of more? How does this type of weather pattern typically affect tigers? And ... should I waste any more time at Marsh Creek anyway??

I wondered the same thing. I wanted to hit Mercer this past Tues but with the 12 or so inches of rain they got in that area...I saved my vacation day! I'm hoping to get over there this weekend. ???

I believe that rain can help and hurt If its rain followed by a cold front usually fish turn off or are very slow . If its been really hot out and a thunder storm comes through it could be good before and after the storm to cool the water down a few degrees . I like cloudy semi stable rainy days the best and also after a fast thunder storm rivers are good at the tributaries the muskies sometimes stack up waiting to be feed at the feeder creeks . 12" of rain? lets hope the mercer lake dam holds. Hey steve as far as Marsh goes the tigers are hard to find this time of year. early and late are best also deep down to the cooler waters 12'to15' maybe paddle trolling in the canoe ?

12" is a lot of rain.I know you can catch fish but can you get to the boat ramp or will they let you put in??Rain is good but before the rain is better. The river would be good to hit now.High and murky.Just as long as its safe. And as far as hitting the water this weekend. Its good to go whenever you can.TIME ON THE WATER.Bob ;D

It looks like the level has come up a bit, but I'll still be able to get my canoe in there. I have a trolling motor & canoe mount, so I may try trolling up the banks. Beats the paddle troll
Gotta watch the weather though and see what the next few days hold.

thx,

Steve

I hear that the Rancocas creek has taken a beaten with this weather. Has anyone heard if the Delaware itself is extremely high?

More importantly, it was a new moon this weekend... Rain didn't affect our trip to Mercer on Sunday, hooked 3 landed 2. All caught / hooked between 11am and 2:30pm.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
