New Jerseys brood stocking article for 2005 lists Shenandoah Lake to be stocked with true strain muskies. I knew they were going to stock Cooper River. It is in Ocean County. Anybody know anything about this lake? What town is it near? How many acres? According to the article they are not stocking the Delaware river this year. Gary

The Delaware River is used for surplus tigers, muskies and walleyes we have had surpluses most years over the past 5-10 and hope to again this year. Sounds like the guide for a day boys had a good day on Greenwood some nice fish and probably some new guys hooked on muskie fishing. Shenandoah Lake is a 50 acre lake in Lakewood, Ocean County. It experienced a big fish kill last year due to a large building fire nearby. We put some 250 nice tigers and 75 muskies back in last year and it is slated for 100 10-12" muskies this fall. It had some decent tiger fishing there for ahile might be a couple years for a good esoscid fishery.

Thanks for the info Fishmaker. We are waiting patiently for the Manasquan, Deal and Carnegie pure strain fisheries to develop. I believe the pures are 2 years old now ??? I hope theys lakes have a growth rate like Mercer and Hopatcong which is awesome! Gary
