I would use a three turn clinch knot and not the improved version. No more than four wraps....it will never cinch down with that high of a leader. Put your sampo swivel on one end with the clinch knot and then measure down your desired distance (12" or so) and tie another clinch knot to your snap.

Don't be afraid of the knot slipping. It will not slip, ever. I have caught 25 large stripers in a day on one leader with the three turn clinch so one or two muskies is a piece of cake for this leader. Hope that helps.

the only thing i can add to daves comments is to leave a 1 inch long tag end heat it up with a lighter a push it against something flat to give it a pancake look.this will insure if there is any slip will make it difficult for the tag end to slip though.also i use a fishing glue on the knots also to help it with slipping other than that your good..spro swivles an string tease snaps thats it good luck

Make it easy on yourself. Just buy "Stealth" leaders. Later on

I tie mine the same way as Dave and then hit it with a drop of glue.I have a nail on a rafter in my garage and use that to help cinch the knot down.

any youse guys ever try Tyger leader?
Pro's / Con's ?
Used it in Canada for toothie critters and it seemed Ok to me, but I am lacking in expertise unlike some of you guys.

I like the Tyger for other stuff....only used it once for 'skies. It seems like it's unnecessary for the muskies. I use twisted single strand and some heavier fluoro.
