I've got one and love it!

Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

Matt,
Remember during the tournament my anti reverse acted up in mine, spool would spin backwards when I twitched 8inch baits.Sent back and ABU adjusted the anti -reverse and had it back in a week.I know a couple guys using them to twitch 12 inch twitchbaits and they have held up for them.

Catch and Release works for everyone, keeping a fish works for just one!

I like mine. I use it for muskie and throwing plugs from boats for stripers and they make some long mean runs. Drag is solid.

Mike i never thought that about stripers, i never caught a 40lber on light stuff but i always thought they ran out of steam fast. Except tuna or some other muscle like that i think kings schooling up for the spawn in the big ponds are the most fun for me. Amazeing power, it seemed when you thought they where done and u got the net out too get em they'd see that net and explode again for another crazy run. Really cool for me. i used too go too sodus point all the time but then i neede too start the Clan, the Rutan Clan!! ha ha Have a Great Independence Day Everybody!!!!!!! God Bless America!!! Love it or Leave it! Now!! Sooner the Better!! And for all u Losers that fly the flag upsi...... Never mind seeya Me! 😉 ;D

not to step on any calcutta 401 te toes (which i have 1 spooled w/80 lb spiderwire stealth and 1 spooled with 100lb cortland) but i just got the 61-HS model and spooled it with 100lb power pro wow does it cast nice i dont know how much has to do with the line but wow does it cast nice 🙂 i dont know if it is the way the mechanical brake was set from factory but i tightened the knob on the side for the first lure and havent had to adjust it since, have to adjust for every lure with calcutta, it is almost like you cant make it get a backlash, then again being relatively new what do i know.havent caught a fish with it yet but man can i crank the seaweed in with it 😛 i do love my calcutta's but.....

I'm with Seeker.

I bought the Winch 61 and it's a beast. Not many reels can hold up to fishing 5 days/week but this one has the parts. Finally a lefty with some power and you can't beat the low profile.

Tried one out in August 2010 . Bought a 60 Winch in September . Used it on LSC in October . Bought the other two gear ratios in November. Can't imagine going back to anything else.
