Hey everyone,

Im kinda new to these message boards and to Muskies Inc for that matter. I came to the February meeting and the seminar at cabelas the other week. (Im the guy, with the ponds that were being discussed for the possibility of raising muskies in) Unfortunately I couldnt make it to the last meeting and to the Marsh Creek Cleanup because i just started a new job.

Anyways, I am looking for a new rod and reel combo and could use alittle help. I want a rod and reel for throwing bulldawgs primarily. My idea was the new Musky Innovations split grip 8' 3" XH rod paired with a Revo Toro NaCl 6.4:1(I can get one for 150$ off a guy who never used it)

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks, Evan

My personal opinion would be a tackle industries xxh 9' rod paired up with a diawa saltist if you plan on using it jsut for big rubber baits. Great rods and the reel is built like a brick s*** house, plus it does 35" per turn, which should be 5-6 more than the NaCl.

Good suggestion Lenny. Evan $150 for that combo isn't a terrible deal!

Evan, I'd go with that reel for the price. Look at okuma, both 9'3 rods, I have one for mag, one for lbers are priced at 129.99, great rods, metal on tip too.

220...., 221...., Whatever it takes.
