Having a lure go first left then right looks pretty to the fisherman but the fish don't seem to care. Ive got a suick that refuses to run PRETTY, but have caught a lot of fish on it. I can remember catching 2 muskies on back-to-back casts at monksville one day on it. I sometimes think the erratic same side retrieve makes it look as sick as the guy holding the rod !!

I have found that some of the older type baits are line dia. sensitive. What I mean , with the braided line we tend to use. the dia is low to THE POUND test. I use 100 pound test braided line which has about the dia of 20 to 25 test mono. My suicks seem to run better than with lighter dia. Saying that there are other things to try with tuning. Check front eye . make sure it is stright. Also dont bend back tail to far down, 30 persent , try slightly bending tail in the other direction that lure is running. Slight changes make big corrections. Bottom line fish dont seem to mine if lure runs to one side or the other. More a fishermans confidence thing, which can make a big difference. Keep using suicks they are a great bait. <<<<><<<
