Tourney registration is now closed, April 25th

A couple of changes in the tourney:

-Start time is any time after 12:01 a.m on Sunday May 3rd.
-End time will be at 3:00 p.m (moon rise is at 2:30, giving us a little chance at moon phase bite)
-Crowning of the "KING" and awards at 3:30 p.m
1st prize - BullDawg Rods for winning boat and calcutta to biggest fish
2nd prize - is a 4 lure package
3rd prize - get entry fee back (not calcutta money)
-Pigging out followed right after the awards

Remember: I need to receive a phone call right after any fish are released. No matter size. Pics must be taken of fish or it will not qualify in the tourny. NO LIVE BAIT!

I'm really looking forward to my first tourney as director. It'll be a great time and the food is going to be awesome. Be ready to eat. Good Luck to all and be safe on the water! See ya's out there.

The phone call is for the "States fishing reports for tourney records". I have to fill out a form after the tourney stating the Size, Breed, Time of Catch and lure "type" (crank, bucktail, glide, jerk, topwater). Along with weather conditions and water temps. And besides the tourney director needs to know whats going on. :P.

- Bob Jones, Twinkle Toes and Todd, got your registration today. Thanks

Got my new reel Matt or should I say ''King''.Do we really have to wait till Sunday to pick up our new rods?Get the net ,the King got another one! Team Dream on,I don't think so! And TMusky you might need a Happy meal after sunday when Dream Team wins!

If anyone in the tournament wants a bunch of Musky Hunters mags let me know. I think I have about 20 or so and would rather give them to someone then throw them away.

Thanks for the remarks, I loved doing it and can't wait for the fall tourney registration to start.
Got done painting 4 "TOURNEY EDITION" Lil' Willy's last night and they turned out sick! No Secret lure here just secret paint jobs!!! (until you see the pic of the winning fish with it in it's mouth) ;D And if that happens, you just might hear me "SCREAM" across the lake!!! 😀

If you get a fish give me a call. Length and breed is all I need to know on the water. After the tourney I'll get the rest of the info mentioned in earlier post. The state wants to start a more detailed "tourney report". Just to give them more accurate info on the fishery. Should be good news for us as a club, that way they see the pure to tiger catch rate. This isn't something I just started, it was in the other tourny registration forms that we have been using. Later

See you guys tomorrow

Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

Not only on the board , But some people feel that if they prefish the lake they will have a better chance :'(

I would feel pretty bad if I caught a few keepers a day early and none at the tourney 😮

It was a great tournament...well fishing wise, maybe not weather wise. Many mi50 members and friends tried to stay dry in very wet conditions. I can even count on how many fish were seen, but I believe 4 legal fish were landed with few other lost. There were also a bunch of sub-legals caught.

Just to think it wasn't long ago when we were wondering if we would ever catch a legal fish at one of our Tournaments. Congrats to all the winners today..Mike D, Tom Sabia, and Bob Jones! I will let them post the specifics about their catches. Also this club should be very proud of what we have done at this lake!

Oh and thanks again to Jeremy for organizing a great event... That food was awesome!! Worth getting wet all day for!

Thanks,
SebSkie

First i'd like to say the event was well oginized and food was great. My team placed third thanks to a 33" pure caught by my partner Catfish. We also caught a 28"er,contacted another 4-30+" fish, and contacted at least 6 more subs.My partner and i thought we patterned these fish well by working together.Glyders seemed to be the ticket for us and we took turns, one guy throwing glyders and the other working though other baits looking for another hot bait. This is my first MI50 tourny i've fished were there were fish caught. And that makes it a little more fun.Congratulations to all the boats that contacted fish.
